Project Genesis, a community organization with over 40 years of activism and social solidarity in
Côte-des-Neiges, is looking to fill a permanent full-time position (5 days/week) in its Individual
Services Center. The Individual Services Center works in the areas of tenant rights and social
programs such as social assistance and pensions. Salary scale starting at $25/hour.

Principal tasks include :

• Follow-up on complex individual cases
• Participate in the training and supervision of volunteers and students
• Conduct file checks to ensure quality
• Contribute to the preparation and facilitation of popular education workshops
• Collaborate with the community organizing team of our organization as well as
  those of other organizations

We are seeking :

• Bilingualism (French and English) other language an asset
• Experience in the community sector, volunteer or paid
• Experience in individual services
• Knowledge of social programs or tenant rights
• Studies in law or social work
• Capacity for independent learning
• Ability to analyze and retain complex practical and legal information
• Attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Comfort with both independent and collaborative work
• Commitment to social rights and social justice
• Interest in working with people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds
