Duration: 6 month contract, part-time | 3 hrs / week
Salary: $16 / hr | 3 hrs / week | paid in 3 installments

About the Organization: Y4Y Québec is a provincial non-profit committed to addressing the issues facing English-speaking youth (ages 16-30). Founded in 2018, we are a youth network working together to speak on behalf of English-speaking youth across the province. Y4Y is a strong, diverse and inclusive network that is part of a larger community ecosystem focused on the linguistic minority of Québec.

Job Description: The With You in Mind initiative aims to raise awareness of youth mental health and provide support in growing youth’s understanding of mental health. This year, this initiative will be focusing on Peer Support as a tool to better support youth mental health. As a Youth Advisory Committee Member for the With You in Mind initiative, you serve as a link between Y4Y and the English-speaking youth community. You support the organization by keeping your ear to the ground on the topics that mean the most to youth from your region in regards to mental health. You are to take charge of organizing informal discussions surrounding mental health with youth to assist Y4Y in gaining a better understanding of youth mental health and peer support.


• Attend biweekly group meetings with With You in Mind Project Coordinator
• Attend individual 30 minute weekly meetings with With You in Mind Project Coordinator
• Attend 3 training sessions on best practices in Peer Support
• Organize and host 2 “Mental Health Coffee Chats” with youth from within your region
• Organize and host 1-2 peer support group simulations
• Connect with one local school and one local anglophone organization
• Create a resources list of mental health services for youth in Québec
• Support Y4Y in promoting the With You in Mind activities

• The applicant must fall within Y4Y’s definition of youth (ages 16-30, inclusive)
• Willingness to learn about best practices in peer support
• Interest in mental health
• Good communication and public relations skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
